Viviene Pearson is the Chief Executive Officer of the South African Insurance Association (SAIA). She joined SAIA in 2004 and has held various managerial positions including that of Motor Manager and General Manager for Projects and Insurance Risks, respectively. She has been responsible for several industry initiatives at SAIA, including micro-insurance and consumer education, as well as being involved in the establishment of the South African Insurance Crime Bureau (SAICB). She currently serves on the boards of SAIA, the Ombudsman for Short Term Insurance (OSTI), the Insurance Institute of South Africa (IISA) and the Financial Sector Charter Council (FSC).
