Wade Witbooi appointed Head of Amplify Investment Partners
Johannesburg - Wade Witbooi has been appointed as Head of Amplify Investment Partners, effective 1 January 2025. In this role, Wade will take responsibility for setting the strategy for the business as well as the execution thereof, driving growth and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. He was previously a Senior Portfolio Manager at Sanlam Investments Multi-Manager, having joined the team in 2016.
Wade has close to 15 years of industry experience and was previously an investment analyst within the research team at Glacier by Sanlam from 2012 to 2014. He joined Sanlam Investments in 2014 as an investment analyst within the Retail Strategy and Client Solutions team. Two years later he joined the multi-manager team as a portfolio manager and during this time he also managed portfolios for the Glacier Invest Discretionary Fund Manager (DFM) business.
Wade holds a BCom degree from the University of the Western Cape and a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning from the University of the Free State. He also holds a Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM) from the CFA Institute and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Charterholder.
Wade’s experience in the industry, as well as his understanding of the broader Sanlam Investments environment, position him well to take on the new role. Amplify Investment Partners is wholly owned by Sanlam Investments and strives to make an impact through superior investment and financial planning solutions as well as through social upliftment programmes, job creation and rhino conservation.
