Yolande Skei takes over reigns as Munich Re’s new COO
Johannesburg - Munich Re of Africa on Tuesday announced the appointment of Yolanda Skei as its new Chief Operating Officer, effective 1 August 2021. Yolanda has been the COO Designate at MRoA since January 2019 and officially takes over the position from Regina Linder who retired from the company at the end of July 2021.
Yolanda holds a degree in Occupational Therapy and attained a Master’s degree in Public Health. She first joined Munich Re of Africa in 2003 as a Life Claims Consultant after providing consulting services in disability claims management to various insurance companies. Over the years, she has held various positions at MRoA, including that of Head of Life Claims and Executive Assistant in the office of the CEO.
In addition to giving strategic guidance and overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the business, Yolanda’s portfolio will include leading a multi-disciplinary team of legal and compliance, business systems management, corporate communication and marketing as well as procurement and office services.
