PSG Wealth Pretoria East welcomes new adviser, Carina van Rooyen
Cape Town - Wealth management firm, PSG has added to their team of experts in the Pretoria East office with the aim of servicing a growing number of individuals, families and businesses in the area. This expansion has necessitated the appointment of Carina van Rooyen, the newest member of the wealth management team. Van Rooyen took up her position from 1 October 2021 at PSG’s Pretoria East office, which was awarded Office of the Year for 10 consecutive years (2009-2019).
Van Rooyen’s appointment is aligned with PSG’s broader strategic development plan to increase service to its clients wherever they reside. As an advice-led business, PSG is dedicated to helping South Africans set and meet their financial goals through objective and appropriate advice.
On the new member of their advisory team, Johan Borcherds, PSG’s Wealth Manager of the year 2021 and Wealth Manager at PSG Wealth Pretoria East commented: “Carina formed part of my team previously, before she moved to Nedbank Wealth for a 10-year stint. We’re incredibly fortunate to have her return to PSG Wealth Pretoria East as a Wealth Manager from October 2021. Having known Carina for such a long time, I firmly believe that her dedication towards her work and the caring way she deals with her clients will make her an invaluable asset to our team.”
Van Rooyen holds BCom and BCom Honours (Financial Management) degrees from the University of Pretoria. Her career began at PSG Wealth Pretoria East where she developed a passion for financial planning, and subsequently obtained her Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning (CFP®) from the University of the Free State. After more than 5 years at PSG she decided to pursue a new career opportunity at Nedbank Private Wealth, where she built relationships with and managed a large investment client base, and gained extensive experience in local and international wealth management over the next 10 years.
During her tenure at Nedbank Private Wealth she was also involved as Wealth Manager in the Philanthropy Office, which included advice to and management of investment portfolios for large corporate social investment foundations as well as charitable trusts of high net worth individuals. Van Rooyen has since decided to rejoin the team at PSG Wealth and serve its substantial client base, having gained invaluable experience and theoretical knowledge.
“PSG formed the foundation for my wealth management career, and I am beyond excited to return to a business whose values so closely align with my own. Building lasting relationships with clients based on trust, integrity and transparency is what makes my career so rewarding. I am looking forward to helping PSG Wealth expand its presence throughout Pretoria East and helping our clients reach their financial goals as we look together towards a prosperous future,” Van Rooyen commented.
