PSG appoints two new advisers to Melrose Arch office

Johannesburg - PSG today announced that it had welcomed two additional advisers to its team at the Melrose Arch office in Johannesburg. The Group said having joined PSG on 1 October 2021, these new advisors bring over three decades’ worth of experience to this established team.

It said Gauteng is currently one of PSG’s most prevalent territories, with its Melrose Arch office holding the 2020 award for Office of the Year – an affirmation of the diligence of its sizeable team and the solid reputation it has established amongst its growing client base.

PSG said as an advice-led business, it is dedicated to helping South Africans set and meet their financial goals through objective and appropriate advice, and this approach resonates strongly with the expertise of its two newest advisers, Craig Rich and Francois Hugo.

“We are particularly excited about our latest appointments. Both Craig and Francois are skilled Wealth Managers with a sterling track record – the kind of top performance that we look for in new appointments. Joining as equity partners at PSG Wealth Melrose Arch, we know they have what it takes to support us in delivering world-class comprehensive investment management, financial planning and wealth advisory services to our clients.” comments James Arnold, Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Wealth Manager at PSG Wealth Melrose Arch.

Craig Rich joins the team at PSG Wealth Melrose Arch with over a decade of industry experience, having worked across numerous, leading investment firms, including Momentum and RMI Investment Managers. He joined RMB Private Bank in 2017 as a Senior Wealth Manager and went on to be recognised as the Top Wealth Manager in 2020. Rich holds a BCom Honours degree, an MBA, as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Estate Planning. He is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP).

“Joining a truly Wealth Management focused business and working with exceptional individuals can only benefit my clients into the future. I would like to thank the PSG team for their confidence in my ability to add to their service offering and support them as they continue to provide an exemplary service to their esteemed clients,” says Rich.

Francois Hugo has worked in the financial services industry for the past 20 years with various listed financial institutions. For the past 4 years, he has worked as a Senior Wealth Manager with RMB Private Bank providing holistic advice for high-net-worth individuals and families. Hugo holds a BCom Honours degree in Accounting, Post Graduate Diploma in Estate Planning and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP).

As he elaborates: “I’ve always wanted to be part of an institution that can truly say it offers holistic financial planning which incorporates fiduciary services as well as investment management. PSG’s value proposition appealed to me and resonated with my priorities: performance, risk management and value for money. For me, PSG ticks all the boxes, and for that reason, it has been able to build long-lasting relationships between advisers and clients. I’m excited about what the future holds.”
