Sponsors express their excitement ahead of AIE 2024
This year’s African Insurance Exchange takes place at Sun City, and online from 21 to 24 July. Excitement is building and the organising committee is well advanced in its planning for what promises to be a very special 50th jubilee conference.
We spoke to a couple of the conference sponsors to find out what they are most looking forward to at #AIE2024.
Themba Mzondi – GCOO, Workerslife
How long has Workerslife been involved in the annual insurance conference?
Workerslife has been an active participant in the African Insurance Exchange Conference since 2019. Over the years, we have consistently supported and engaged in the conference's activities, recognising its value in fostering industry collaboration and innovation.
What is the nature of your participation this year?
This year, Workerslife is proud to sponsor the farewell cocktail event at the 2024 African Insurance Exchange. Our sponsorship reflects our commitment to nurturing connections and celebrating the achievements within the insurance industry. We aim to provide an elegant and memorable conclusion to the conference, offering attendees a final opportunity to network and reflect on the insights gained over the event.
Why do you believe the conference is important for the insurance industry?
The AIE is an important event for the insurance industry as it brings together leaders, innovators, and professionals from across the continent. It serves as a platform for exchanging ideas, discussing emerging trends, and exploring new opportunities. The conference plays a crucial role in shaping the future of the industry by promoting collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the adoption of best practices.
What are you most looking forward to?
We are most looking forward to engaging with our peers and industry leaders during the conference. The opportunity to participate in insightful discussions, gain new perspectives, and build lasting relationships is invaluable.
Additionally, we are excited about hosting the farewell cocktail event, where we can connect with attendees in a more informal and celebratory setting.
This year, we are also focused on making a name for our brand, as the industry is not yet widely aware of Workerslife. We see this conference as a prime opportunity to elevate our profile and highlight our longstanding commitment to excellence.
As we celebrate the golden jubilee of the African Insurance Exchange, Workerslife is honoured to be part of this historic milestone. Our involvement underscores our dedication to the continued growth and evolution of the insurance industry in Africa. We are committed to supporting initiatives that drive excellence and innovation, and we look forward to contributing to the conference's success.
Lourens Botha – CEO, Guardrisk
How long has Guardrisk been involved in the annual insurance conference?
Guardrisk has been involved with IISA’s annual conference for more than a decade, initially as an exhibitor and, since 2015, as a sponsor.
What is the nature of your participation this year?
Guardrisk is a gold sponsor of AIE 2024 and we are proud that, like in 2023, the name tags and lanyards for all delegates will carry our branding.
Why do you believe the conference is important for the insurance industry?
The local insurance industry is a relatively small one in terms of the number of players and individuals. At its core it is a network of professional relationships built on mutual trust and respect. At Guardrisk, we believe that the annual AIE conference offers one of the most important opportunities for industry players to form new relationships and strengthen existing ties within the industry.
What are you most looking forward to?
We’re looking forward to the Guardrisk team making new contacts and catching up with old friends.
Guardrisk values and is proud of its association with IISA, not only through this conference, but in many other instances throughout the year. In today’s fast changing world, it is a tribute to the institute that its conference has withstood the test of time, going from strength to strength every year.
We would like to congratulate the IISA team on this impressive milestone and to thank them for the invaluable support they continue to provide for our industry.
