Delphine Traoré takes over as CEO of Allianz Africa
Accra - Member of the Board of Management of Allianz Africa and current Regional Chief Operations Officer (COO), Ms. Delphine Traoré has been appointed as successor to Coenraad Vrolijk, and will assume the role of Allianz Africa Regional Chief Executive Officer (CEO), in addition to her current responsibilities.
Coenraad will leave Allianz Africa to pursue new opportunities outside of the Allianz group. These changes will become effective November 1st, 2021.
Delphine joined Allianz Group in 2005 with Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) Canada. She held the positions of a Liability Underwriter and Head of Market Management before she became CEO of AGCS Africa in 2012.
Delphine joined Allianz Africa as COO in 2017, and remained a non-executive member of the Board of Management of AGCS Africa.
In 2015, Coenraad joined as a Senior Advisor to the Board of Management of Allianz SE and became Allianz Africa Regional CEO in 2017. During his tenure, he oversaw the expansion of Allianz footprint in Morocco, Nigeria and recently East Africa, in addition to successfully building a strong regional framework.
Allianz thanked Coenraad for his contribution and dedication during his time, and wished him all the best for his future endeavors.
