Bidvest Life names Nivash Manulal as Chief Distribution Officer
Durban - Life insurer Bidvest Life has named Nivash Manulal as its new Chief Distribution Officer.
Manulal, who will report directly to CEO Lulu Rasebotsa, will be responsible for developing and implementing distribution strategies and leading the sales team in delivering revenue to the business.
Manulal joins Bidvest Life from Telesure Investment Holdings, where he managed the tied advisory channel made up of various product lines, including Life, Wealth, Short Term, Personal lines, and Business Insurance. He has a strong track record in the banking and insurance industries and has held various sales and operations management roles at the likes of First National Bank South Africa, African Bank and Momentum Metropolitan Holding Limited.
Rasebotsa said Manulal’s experience in driving strategy and sales across multiple and diverse products was key to his appointment. “We are thrilled to welcome Nivash to the team. His experience in managing operations to achieve business goals and maximise profitability will be invaluable to us as we continue to expand our operations and services,” she said.
Manulal holds a Business Management Certificate from the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS).
