The Steering Committee, within which the SAIA is fully represented, met on 11 July 2012 and where it decided to rename the committee to Executive Committee. Whether it should be a legal entity i.e. should it be a Section 21 Company or a Public Benefit Organisation, the powers of officials, voting and proxy`s, high level financial plan which must include start-up costs, monthly expenses for secretarial support including a break-even analysis.

Merseta, as the appointed Development Quality Partner (DQP) will finalise the Service Level Agreement with the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) and thereafter, it will schedule a profiling session with all the stakeholders with the view to develop the Occupational Profile which will be used for the development of the occupational qualification.
